The work of Montreal-born Stanley Rosenthall covers several genres, capturing America at the height of its post-war strength, and at the beginning of its inexorable change. Starting as a darkroom assistant in New York City at the United Nations and Life Magazine in 1957, he started freelancing for the likes of Look and Fortune magazines at the beginning of the 1960’s. A lifelong passion for cars led him to become a major name as a photographer on the Indy circuit. He finished his career in Toronto.
