This magazine was founded by <strong>foto:RE<\/strong>, a collective of photographers, working together in an effort improve their own work, and to help others improve theirs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beginnings<\/strong> concerns itself with several starting points: the early works of foto:RE founding member Stanley Rosenthall; Alina Chirlia&#8217;s experiments at the nexus of light and chemistry; Jennifer King&#8217;s images of firsts and lasts in the lives of her children and Mark Walton&#8217;s initial forays into film with his Polaroid 250.
